With a passion for education, Jaimie has her P.G. Dip in Higher Education along with other qualifications including interior design. She has been a lecturer since 2007 and has been in the interior design industry for several years. She enjoys enriching minds and inspiring students and loves seeing the spark in student’s eyes when the penny drops. Her dedication to nurturing students and providing quality education can be seen in the care and attention she gives to each student.

CHER VAN DER MESCHT

Lecturer

Cher joined BHC in 2022 as a lecturer. She teaches on both the Interior Decorating full-time programme and the Interior design full-time programme. Her favourite thing about being a lecturer is nurturing the students and watching their confidence grow. Cher has qualifications in interior design and decorating, which extend to a Bachelor of Environmental Design. Cher is passionate about interior decorating and design and owns her owns Interior design and decorating business, Styl'd by Cher, that focuses on residential design and decorating.

DONNA WILLS

Lecturer

Donna has been involved in tertiary education in the design industry since 2014 and is a specialist lecturer at BHC. Mentoring students is her passion and she enjoys watching them succeed in the industry. Her B.Tech in Interior Design has propelled her career in interior design and formed a base from which she has excelled in the industry. Donna has been working as an interior designer for close on 20 years and her company, 8a Creative, is a showcase for her talent and passion. She has a portfolio of work ranging from national corporate and retail roll outs, to smaller, boutique clients, with each job carefully detailed and creatively brought to life.

CHARMAINE BLAINE

Industry specialist lecturer

With 24 years of retail experience and 7 years working for Hertex, Charmaine's passion for teaching students about fabrics is contagious. She believes that it is important for anyone entering the industry to understand how the fabric industry works and be equipped with the right knowledge and skills when entering the world of fabrics.
