Each course costs R12 500.

You need to be able to read, write and speak English. There are no other requirements. You should have access to the tools given in the question on this.

Yes, our courses are on-demand. You choose your start date.

Once you have decided which course you would like to complete, you can click on the date you prefer to enrol for. These dates are listed on the website under the course you are interested in enrolling on.

To enrol on a course, all you need to do is visit our online course section, choose the course you would like to complete and then add (click on) the course date you prefer. This will add the course to your cart on the top right of the page. Here you can click on your cart, fill in the required information and then follow all the prompts to purchase the course or courses you would like to complete. Once payment has gone through, you will automatically be enrolled on the course.

Once you reach the payment page, the payment gateway is PayFast. Here you will have the options to use Credit Card, EFT, Zapper, Store Cards and MobiCred.

You will need a computer or smart device with an internet connection to access your lessons, submit assessments and join webinars. You will be compiling a digital (PDF) portfolio, which you can complete by hand & then take photos of and join as a PDF & submit, or you can use programs like Canva, PowerPoint or Photoshop etc to compile visual boards, other images and colour charts.

If you would like to complete the portfolio by hand, you will need A3 boards (these can be card or mounting board depending on what you would like to use), scissors, glue, magazines, or printed images, coloured pencils, markers or paints and a ruler. If you choose to use your own home or another physical room as an example for some of the assessments, you will need a camera (your phone is ok here) and print out pictures of these or use a computer to edit the photos accordingly. There may also be a few tools that you would like to use for your own custom designs, but these are up to you.

You will be provided with an optional stationary list when you enrol, and you will be provided with a few guides to assist you in using the various editing programs should you require it.

When the courses end, your access to the content ends. You are still able to log in and access your certificate of competence from the LMS at any point.

The way in which the courses have been structured allows working professionals and students to learn in the time they have available to them. The courses are based on online lessons with written content and pre-recorded videos to guide you along week by week. There is a module with a new topic covered each week, but the previous modules will still be available to you, so if you do fall behind, you can catch up should you need to.

There are a handful of virtual events that do happen live during the beginning and end weeks of the courses, but these are held after working hours and are recorded so that if you miss them, you can watch the recording in your own time.

Yes, you can, but it is not recommended if you are working. Our suggestion is to do one course at a time. If you would like to complete all four courses, we recommend staggering them through out the year.

Once you have successfully completed the final assessment: the POE, with a passing mark, you will receive a certificate of competence. This is a digital certificate which can be used for LinkedIn or any other digital platform. You can access your certificate from the LMS at any point when it has been awarded and issued.

There are 2 assessments per week. A short quiz at the end of the module which can be taken again, and a slightly more contextual assignment based on the module content. In total the quiz will take about 5 minutes and the assessment will take roughly an hour or two to complete each week.

Towards the end of the course, you will be given the opportunity to get feedback from the course coordinator about your POE. You can ask questions and submit your POE as it is at the time when the course coordinator communicates with you. Here you will receive feedback on the assessments that are in your POE and any guidance on how to improve your work, should you need to.

Yes! Each course has a dedicated course coordinator who will guide you through the course via email and through the LMS (Learner Management System – the online space you will use to access the course content and other tools). They will communicate with you each week about the week’s topic, including what is to be expected from the week and the assessment for that week. You are also welcome to ask questions via email or using the tools on the LMS.
